MedView — Professional DICOM Viewer
DoiTech International
MedView is designed with privacy in mind. The app operates primarily on your device and does not require user accounts or cloud services. We process only minimal data necessary to maintain the application. DICOM files and medical images are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
When you configure connections to PACS/DICOM servers, the connection details (host, port, AE titles) are stored locally on your device. Medical images transferred via DICOM protocols (C-FIND, C-GET, C-STORE) travel directly between your device and the PACS server you configure. We do not act as an intermediary and have no access to these transfers.
MedView includes a free built-in demo PACS server for evaluation purposes. The demo server is shared and publicly accessible.
⚠ Do NOT upload real patient data to the demo server. The demo server is for testing only. Do not upload any real names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, or protected health information (PHI). Data uploaded to the demo server may be visible to other users and may be cleared at any time. The app displays a warning before every upload to the demo server.
DICOM files, annotations, measurements, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. You can clear this data at any time through the Settings page. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
The app may use Apple App Store or Google Play billing services for in-app purchases. These transactions are governed by the respective platform's privacy policies. We do not collect or store your payment information directly.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect data stored on your device. DICOM network connections can be configured with TLS encryption when supported by your PACS server. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.
MedView is intended for healthcare professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Since MedView stores data locally on your device, you have full control over your data. You can view, export, or delete any files through the app interface. For users in the EEA, you may exercise your GDPR rights by contacting us. California residents may exercise rights under the CCPA.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in app updates and posted at this URL. Your continued use of MedView after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
