Camivex — Live camera viewer, recorder and annotation workspace
IMPORTANT: By downloading, installing or using Camivex, you agree to be bound by the terms of this End User License Agreement ("EULA"). If you do not agree, do not use the application.
Doitech International ("Licensor") grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Camivex ("the App") on devices you own or control, subject to the terms of this EULA and any applicable platform terms (such as the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, the Google Play Terms of Service or the Microsoft Store Terms of Sale).
This licence does not allow you to:
Camivex is a camera viewing, recording and annotation tool. It is NOT a certified medical device. It is not intended for clinical diagnosis, treatment planning or any purpose requiring regulatory clearance (such as FDA 510(k), CE marking, MDR or equivalent).
If you use Camivex with a camera in a clinical, veterinary or industrial setting, the App remains a display and recording aid only. Do not rely on it for diagnosis or for decisions about a person's care. Use validated, cleared software and devices for those purposes, and follow your own procedures for the equipment the camera belongs to.
Check your recordings. A recording or capture depends on the camera, its driver, the network and the storage device as much as on Camivex. Frames can be dropped, a stream can end without notice, and a disk can be full. The Licensor does not warrant that any recording is complete, continuous or free of artefacts, and is not responsible for a recording that could not be made. Verify anything you depend on before you rely on it.
Camivex connects to cameras you configure — a camera attached to your device, or a camera publishing a stream at an address you enter. You are responsible for having the right to access those cameras and networks, for any credentials you store in the App (which are kept on your device only), and for complying with the rules that apply where the camera is installed.
The App includes an optional public demonstration camera. It is a shared stream that anyone may watch, it may be interrupted or taken offline at any time, and you must not treat it as private. Do not point any camera you configure at people or places that should not be publicly visible.
Recordings, stills, annotations and the records the App keeps about them (camera settings, addresses, times) are written to your own device, in the App's folder, and are yours to manage. Deleting a capture in the App also removes the annotations and editing data attached to it. Uninstalling the App removes its data.
The pre-record feature keeps a rolling window of the stream so that a clip can begin a few seconds before you pressed Record. How much of that window survives depends on the camera and on the platform, and it is best-effort: the Licensor does not warrant that the seconds before a press are always available.
Camivex itself is free to use. An optional paid edition, Camivex Pro, unlocks additional features as a one-time purchase. On Windows and Linux, Camivex Pro is sold through Stripe and this EULA governs that purchase; on iOS and Android it would be sold through the applicable store and that store's terms also apply. The price is shown in the app before you confirm. Refunds are subject to the policy of the payment provider that processed the purchase; Doitech International does not process refunds directly.
The App, including all code, graphics, interfaces and documentation, is the intellectual property of Doitech International and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. This EULA does not grant you any rights to trademarks, trade names or service marks of the Licensor. "Camivex" and "Doitech" are marks of Doitech International.
The App incorporates third-party components, including FFmpeg (used for video decoding and for recording) and Flutter. Their licences and attributions are set out in the Copyright & Attributions notice, which forms part of this EULA's disclosures.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. In short: the App has no accounts, sends us nothing, and keeps your captures on your device. Network connections are made directly between your device and the camera you configure.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
The Licensor does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or will work with any particular camera, codec, stream format or network.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DOITECH INTERNATIONAL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, RECORDINGS, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.
In particular, the Licensor shall not be liable for a recording that was not made or was incomplete, for decisions taken on the basis of what the App displayed, or for the loss of captures stored on your device.
This EULA is effective until terminated. Your rights under this licence will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies.
This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from this EULA shall be resolved in the courts of Singapore. Nothing in this clause deprives you of the protection afforded by any mandatory consumer protection laws of the country in which you reside.
The Licensor reserves the right to modify this EULA at any time. Updated terms will be posted at this URL and reflected in subsequent app updates. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
