Data Deletion

Camivex — DoiTech International

Camivex holds no data about you. There is no account to delete, and no server of ours that stores your captures. Everything the app keeps is a file on the device you are using, and you can remove all of it yourself, at any time, without asking us.

What is stored, and where

Camivex writes to its own folder in your device's application documents directory — for example Camivex/ under your documents folder on Windows and macOS, and the app's container on iOS and Android. Inside it:

The camera addresses you add, and any credentials typed into them, are kept in the same local store. Nothing in this list is transmitted to DoiTech International.

How to delete it

  1. One capture. Open it in the gallery and delete it, or select several and delete them together. That removes the capture, its thumbnail, its annotations and its editing data.
  2. Everything in the app. Delete each collection's contents in the gallery, or delete the app's Camivex folder in your file manager on Windows, macOS or a rooted/desktop-accessible Android or iOS device.
  3. The app and its data. Uninstall Camivex. On iOS and iPadOS the app's container goes with it; on Android use Settings → Apps → Camivex → Storage → Clear data before or instead of uninstalling; on Windows or macOS, uninstall and then remove the leftover Camivex folder if you want the captures gone as well.
  4. Preferences only. The same steps in (3) clear them. Changing a setting back to its default also overwrites the stored value.

What we cannot delete

We cannot delete anything for you, because we never receive it. There is no copy on our side to erase, which also means there is no copy for us to be asked to hand over.

The one thing to be aware of is a network camera you have configured: deleting the address from Camivex does not delete anything on the camera or its recording server, which is not ours and is governed by whoever operates it. The same is true of anything you have shared out of the app — a shared file belongs to wherever you sent it.
